Story
2019 – the year when two eras intersect.
Shinbutsu Island, a remote island in the Seto Inland Sea.
The island has secretly flourished as a prostitution island since shortly after the war.
On one side is the Futatsukuri family, a local influential family that has been managing the island’s prostitution industry since the Showa era.
On the other hand, four quirky men and women gathered from the back streets are trying to cross the island with a certain purpose.
On both sides are sorcerers who make a living by “cursing to death,” a complete crime in modern times.
On the island of vice, the intentions of the people intersect.
But behind it all lies a terrible curse that has been passed down for about 70 years since the end of the war.

Character 1
Futatsukuri Tamaya
The heroine of the Bunmei arc.
The daughter who inherited the cursed wealthy Futatsukuri family of Shinbutsu Island.
She is intelligent and caring, and supports the family in place of her sickly elderly father.
On the other hand, she has a deep dislike for the world of curses and the terrible fate surrounding her family.

Futatsukuri Tsuzo
The protagonist of the Bunmei arc.
A sorcerer who takes refuge in the Futatsukuri family.
He makes a living by killing people with curses.
A sarcastic middle-aged man who likes to behave and speak in a particularly provocative way.
Even now, decades later, he still carries the image of his master “Kui”, who died when he was a boy.

Character 3
Kusatsu Gyobu
A wandering sorcerer and martial artist employed by the Futatsukuri family.
He has a well-trained physique that makes it hard to believe he is nearly 60 years old.
His magical powers as a sorcerer are superior to those of Bunmei Jyuzo and Togetsu Kan.

Toba Fujihiko
A servant who serves the Futatsukuri family.
A beautiful young man who is silent like a shadow, and is deeply loyal to his childhood friend, Tamaya.
He has been studying old-style martial arts since childhood, studying under Kuusatsu Gyobu.
Character 5
Futatsukuri Munetaka
Tamaya’s uncle.
Within the Futatsukuri family, he is in charge of managing the dark side of the Shinbutsujima entertainment district and the women.
He is dissatisfied with Tamaya becoming the head of the family, and is quick to blame everyone for everything.

Usagi Himena
The number one prostitute at the brothel “Ojo” in Shinbutsu Island’s entertainment district.
She came to Shinbutsu Island from Tokyo after hearing rumors that it was an unusually profitable place.
She is a cheerful, straightforward, urbane white gal who is popular for her outstanding looks and style.

Hikaga Shinobu
The heroine of the Togetsu arc.
A traveling assassin who is hired by the Arakigumi for a certain purpose and travels to Shinbutsu Island.
She is a violent and rough person, but she also has a kind heart inside.
She has a tattoo of a demon depicted in a hellish scene carved on her back, but the origin of the tattoo is a mystery.

Togetsu Kan
The protagonist of the Togetsu arc.
A traveling sorcerer hired by the Arakigumi.
She makes a living by killing people with curses.
He has a somewhat lethargic air about him, and is a middle-aged man who likes to be frank and nonchalant.
He seems to have had some past connection with the Futatsukuri family, but he refuses to talk about it in detail.

Araki Zenjiro
The boss of the Araki Group, a small yakuza group that is a fifth-tier group of the Kobe Y Group.
He hires Togetsu and others for a certain purpose and travels to Shinbutsu Island.
He has a vulgar and frivolous personality, and is picky about laughter, as is typical of Kansai people.

Kano
One of a group of four who travel to Shinbutsu Island for a certain purpose.
Although she is still a young girl, she is quite uninhibited and mature sexually.
Her current guardian is Araki Zenjiro, and she calls him “Otchan” and adores him.

Kano
Deceased. Died in 1986. Died at the age of 31. A sorcerer who was the foster parent and teacher of the orphaned Bunmei Jyuzo.
She lost her life in a certain incident.

Kikuno Futatsukuri
Deceased. Died in 2016. Age 88.
Second wife of Kaemon, the second head of the Futatsukuri family, and mother of Munetaka.
In life, she was in charge of practically everything in the household, and was a heroine of her generation who was also well versed in sorcery.
