~Main Characters~
■Mikoto Kagura (The Heroine of This Story)
Haruto’s childhood friend and two years older than him. Although she can be a little strong-willed, she behaves as a caring older sister to Haruto. She has always felt disgust for Toshio, who has treated her in a disgusting way since she was a child.
■Haruto Shinozaki (The Protagonist)
Mikoto’s childhood friend and they have been playing together since they were little. He was born a little weak and has a quiet personality. He was chosen for the village ritual and struggles to overcome the trials safely.
■Village Chief
He is the village chief of Pair of Couples and is in charge of the ritual. A kind old man who has been looking after Mikoto and Haruto since they were young.
■Makabe Toshio
The son of the village chief, he is a middle-aged man who spends his time lazily in the village without doing much work. He treats Mikoto, who lives in the village, with kindness, but she continues to dislike him every time.
