New Content
- Massive Rework Done to Character Stats & Related Mechanics
- Characters now have levels for each stat ranging from 0 to 100. Training your succubus will grant EXP to individual stats and increase their level, which in turn will have effects like increasing their stamina, or the speed at which they achieve orgasm.
- Stat gain is limited by the amount of Stamina a character has, which is based off of their Endurance level.
- The stamina bar during training scenes now pulses red to indicate that your character is out of stamina and can no longer gain any benefits from training.
- Gold can now be gained from training at the end of a session. A fixed amount is granted at the moment but will later factor in various milestones during a session for bonuses.
- Session completion screen is being reworked, the old one has been removed and a new place holder one with character artwork has been added.
- Rating Meter for sessions is being redesigned and has temporarily been moved to the bottom left of the UI.
- Stat bars on character selection screen will currently show 0 EXP on the bar but now display the characters stat levels as well. We’re currently working on a better way of displaying the initial stat values of a character.
- Implemented Dev Note System: Some scenes now feature a small exclamation mark that can be clicked to view developer messages. These messages give information about the state of a scene or potential issues you may come across.
- The system will be converted into playtips or removed all together in the final release, but we needed something temporary to bridge the gap between players and the devs behind the curtain.
- Dev Notes can be disabled in the settings.
Bug Fixes / Polish
- Fixed Auto Save Toggle Not Working
- Fixed Other Issues with Saving:
- Succubus stats and levels are now saved in route data as opposed to global data.
- Succubus discipline now saves correctly.
- Fixed Gold Bug: Gifting an item to a character would cause the player to lose all of their gold.
- Fixed To Be Continued Bug: Reaching a “To Be Continued” screen in a route and exiting to the main menu was not resetting story variables properly. Starting a new route after doing this would pick up with the previous playthrough’s data.
Known Issues
- THIS UPDATE MAY BREAK SAVES: There has been a massive rework of character stats and data may not load properly from previous builds. If your game crashes on launch, please navigate to appdata/locallow/Tentakero/SuccubusThrone and delete the files that end in .succ
- Yani has a continuity bug on Day 2: Getting the document signed by labrys and then immediately returning to the Succubus Quarters allows players to skip a part of the story in the Colosseum.
- Leveling is not balanced: This likely won’t be properly balanced until most of the game is done and we can assess the entire gameplay experience as a whole.
