[Hints]

  • The rules are the same as regular chess but En Passant is not allowed, and pawns will promote to indicated types of pieces in each map.
  • You can switch out move types between your pieces by changing equipped items and will receive additional types as you score checkmates or charm enough opposing pieces. Seals allow movement and rings allow capture. A piece must always wear at least one item from its original class.

  • Bates Game Over Cutscene & Animations!
    • Game Over during battle with Bates will show a cutscene and then randomly one of eight animation loops.
    • All Game Over animations are unlocked in the Gallery when Bates is defeated.
    • The loop animations can be found in a new Lood City Park section of the Gallery.
    • The introductory animations will be available in the Gallery in a future update.
  • New dialogue for Ket (& Jack) at Sheo Islands Beach after returning from Smol Beach.
  • Android Touch Input Update!
    • Android Touch Controls are larger by default and positioning has changed.
    • Multiple button layout options. There is a new layout called “Impact” that serves as the new default, and the old layout returns in similar form as “Classic”.
    • Compound Button Option allows for “Down + Attack” (Pose Sexy) and similar combinations within a single button.
    • Tap Interact/Talk prompt to do so. (Sex still requires use of its own Sex button.)
    • During a conversation, tap on the modal dialogue box to advance the text.
    • During a cutscene, tap the screen to show a prompt that can be tapped to skip the cutscene.
    • When Joe is knocked out, the screen can be tapped to continue to the Game Over screen.
    • The Game Over screen menu options can be selected via tap.
  • Options Screen category selection has been improved, and a Controls category has been added.
    • The Controls category includes both Key Bindings and options for Touch Input.
    • The Controls category will show non-interactive touch controls for easier visual configuration.
  • An on-screen sex prompt (heart animation) now appears whenever Joe’s able to use the Sex button.

Improvements & bug fixes:

  • Fixed soft-lock upon defeating Bates, allowing access to the Victory Cutscene.
  • Fixed Bates attacking or moving during a phase transition.
  • Fixed Bates facing to always look at Joe between most abilities.
  • Fixed Bates VFX fireball from lingering on the screen indefinitely.
  • Fixed a Fungus dialogue bug that could break certain conversations.
  • Fixed framerate cap on Android build; it can now run up to 60 FPS.
  • Fixed crash in Gallery when using auto-play all through Lin’s entry.
  • Added Lin’s idle animation to the Gallery.
  • Added more default info to the Skills Screen.
  • Animated the modal dialogue box background.
  • Hide touch controls during dialogue and cutscenes.
  • Hide touch controls when leaving gameplay (including Joe KO’ed and Game Over).
  • On PC/Mac/Linux, the cursor will now be visible only upon booting the game, on the Title screen, and on the Key Bindings screen.
  • Some lewd sounds have better volume balance and more pitch randomization.
  • Springs can now bounce movable objects such as the beach ball.
  • And even more fixes that are too trivial to list!

*Added an intro scene for the above “true boss”! Starts when Kathleen enters her inner sanctum and sets the mood for what the boss is all about; plus also showing what Kathleen’s fate will be if she fails the “fight” against the boss…
*Added the “true boss’s” boss fight! As with the other two it’s a three stage boss fight; though the first two stages are quite a bit different compared to the other two. Each stage also comes with it’s own dedicated “mini loss scene”.
*Added a fail-state for losing the above boss fight! Which showcases what happens to those who fail to entertain the “true boss” during a mock battle, seeing Kathleen being turned into one of the MANY mana totems littering the boss’s inner sanctum…
– Added the resolution to the tiara side-quest in the fantasy RPG VR-world! After finding the tiara in the ruined castle’s breach room, Kathleen can bring it to the Countess in the castle town. Chatting with the guards at the gate (after finding the tiara) allows her to meet the haughty lady, who’s keen on giving Kathleen her reward for finding her prize…though Kathleen might be loath to accept said “reward”.
*Add a mini-boss fight to the above quest’s resolution! Squaring off against the Countess’s loyal Knight, Kathleen will have to do her best not being full-nelsoned into a fail-state…as this enemy like to hard and often!
*Added a fail-state for the above mini-boss! Which plays if Kathleen loses the fight. It sees Kathleen receiving her “reward” for delivering the tiara to the Countess, though it will be a rather permanent end to her adventures…since said “reward” sees Kathleen turned into a fetishized doll-version of the Countess herself.
– Added the brothel to the castle town! A small “side-location” for Kathleen to visit, she can go there to blow off some steam with “Pumpkin”, though she might not be exactly the kind of “girl” she expected… You can find the place in the caste town’s east plaza (where the shortcut teleporter to the castle ruins is).
– Added the following spritework generously provided by Tonkatsu: Aislinne sprites, void portal sprites.
– Added the following self-made spritework: Mana totem sprites, Pumpkin sprites, countess sprites and some misc. tilesets/sprites.

BUGFIXES:
– Some typo corrections (always).
– Fixed a (long running) bug in the battle code, in which the status timer wasn’t reset when Kathleen successfully removed a status off herself. It now does, meaning that once the status gets applied again it sticks for the right amount of time (instead of getting removed earlier).

QUALITY OF LIFE:
– Added a new special item: Magical goggles! They can be used to get past any “hypnotic” traps on the map, though they function rather poorly in combat…after finding the hypno trap in the castle ruins Kathleen can buy them off Iris for the standard hefty sum of gold!
– Added a special buff-state for having fun with Pumpkin! Kathleen can get this by choosing to have fun with Pumpkin; which adds a special stat to her that buffs her attack for the following three battles.
