Overview:
TrickOrDick is an adult visual novel game. The story is set a week before Halloween as you play a young photographer who inherited his grandfather’s house and moved to another town. In this new town he has a chance to begin anew as nobody knows him yet. He decides to throw a Halloween party in this new town, so he can get to know other people better and get known in the small town community.   • Yui has one unlocked ending, with both loving and the not-so-loving scenes being unlocked and could be picked when playing trough ending. Save when going this route, so you can see both.
  • Improved inventory screen:
    – you can now see items you own and now it has a scrollbar, so it is potentially unlimited backpack
    – You can now see all girls affection in the inventory too, with their images changing when affection grows.
    – Map access and money are also both found in the inventory
  • Reworked ending scene after story
  • Reworked the way we are showing images in the game, which will allow us to make the game smaller and more portable in the upcoming versions.

In the demo version 0.1, there are 5 different endings. 3 of them are more easily obtainable, while number 4 requires the previous endings to be unlocked and number 5 requires ending 4. We had some people play trough the version that was not proofread, but nobody unlocked the extra endings yet. We would very much love to see if people can figure out the last 2 endings on their own, so we can know if we made the conditions too hard. Getting all 5 endings would require at least 2 playtroughs or saves near the end.

In the future, we plan to expand the game by adding more characters, more features and more mini-games. When we have all of the characters we planned added, we are considering to allow the story to continue past the last day.

* Added a ton of supporting code to the meal time content. EVERYONE should see either increases or decreases in stats according to whether or not they eat with you in every meal now even if the scene doesn’t depict the character. Characters not yet in the mansion will not be affected by these stat changes. Meal time has officially become a way to grind for stats. In most cases, eating with you will will move every stat for the affected character one point in the positive direction, sometimes more. If you have lots of characters in the mansion, then it can be very effective in giving a small blanket increase to everyone. This probably accounts for about 10k words of raw code. It’s proving to be a nightmare to set up, but it’s going to be SO worth it when it’s done! (NOTE: Anna doesn’t mind serving table, especially if Eve has a place at it. But it’s going to upset her if she’s at the table and you make Eve wait table.)

* Added a cheat option to the Cheat Menu so you can increase or decrease the MCs Alchemy score.

* Added a cheat option to the Cheat Menu to allow players to change the name and gender of babies. This is in response to an earlier misfire situation with the birthing where babies were being created but you weren’t given the option to name them.

  2. 15 new scenes; 5 phase 2 scenes for Arena Master, Merchant and Combat Trainer each.
  3. New ending system. Now the game never ends on it’s own. You can end the game from your room.

  6. Erotic Scene number displays before a scene plays. Erotic Scenes now also have a skip button.

  • This game uses Ironwoman / Rogue-Like mode. This means the game auto-saves, and you cannot save and reload. Once your character dies, the save is deleted, but the character is recorded into the archive.
  • The erotic stories are text-only. The character and outfits are drawn. We just don’t have the budget to draw or animate the stories or opponents. Also, given all the different combinations of outfits and other planned stuff, it’s probably best to leave it text-only.
  • The game uses a lot of RNG. While I use RNG to make the game more varied and exciting, I also want to make it fair and balanced. If you feel a gameplay mechanic is too unfair, let me know, and I’ll review it.
  • I’m aiming to make this more gameplay focused. I like games like Dungeons and Dragons, Dark Souls and Diablo. I don’t have the manpower or technical expertise to make something as grand, but I hope to use influences from such games to make something that’s still fun. Hopefully we achieved that!
