Royal Guards of Ethyria is a visual novel-like game that has the element of a strategic tower defense. The game comprises a magical kingdom that aims to protect and defend its inhabitants from gargantuan and hostile monsters by looking for the most deserving knights in town. A series of monsters will try to invade the palace, and your ultimate goal is to protect it by spawning “Royal Guards” that will help you in accumulating your goal. How you will defend it will be based solely on your planning and strategizing technique.Will you answer the call and be one of Ethyria’s Royal Guard? Or will you decline it and watch the kingdom fall apart?WHAT AWAITS YOU?

This game was made using assets from the abandoned LoK Rebirth game by Kuja and Abelius. Please go support their ongoing projects. I took some liberties in changing the characters personalities and the plot from LoK Rebirth.
This game was made by me for fun. I don’t know if I plan on doing updates. If you wish to contribute, you can use the Ren’Py Source Code provided below. You can send me a direct message and I can incorporate your changes or maybe set up a git repo.
I scaled back a lot of my ideas for this game. The result is a simple corruption story with not many unique animations. There are a lot of areas of improvement for animations and dialog but I wanted to go ahead and release a 1.0 version of the game.
I am aware of a couple of minor issues to fix. If you find more, feel free to leave a comment or send me a direct message… or download the source code and fix it and send me the corrected version
