[Meat Shield]

If an enemy has this trait, you should be careful about attacking them…

Because the enemies prevents your attacks with his meat shield victim.

If you attempt to attack an enemy who has a meat shield, it will begin a test for a successful hit with the Technique attribute.

You can deal damage to the enemy if you are successful.

If you fail this test, the meat shield will be killed by you and your panic will be increased! (If your Insanity is low).

Ogres won’t grab a new victim while it has a current meat shield victim.

So, you’ll have to rescue or kill the meat shield if you wish to see it attempt to get a new victim…

There is no reward system currently in Dungeon Test.

I will add this system in Alpha.

Meat shield victims are released automatically if an enemy who has a meat shield is incapacitated with a “skip turn status”. (Sleep, Paralysis and so on)

I might add this trait on Goblin Rider (Pig) in the Alpha as I adjust the game’s balance.

From the Dev Team: Welcome to Patronus! Patronus is a slave training game set in ancient Rome. It’s a straight historical setting without fantasy elements. This is an Alpha version release. We know that there are bugs, problems, explosions, fiery loss of boner issues, etc. Don’t Panic! Better releases are on their way.

Gameplay:
There are a couple of new or different mechanisms in this game. The first is the day planner. In the upper left corner of the screen you will see a Star/Sun or a Moon. If you click on this you can schedule activities. Right now there are only basic travel activities, but more content is coming, stay tuned. Also new to the genre is that each character has some stats that are not immediately visible. For example, the player will have no direct way of seeing the protagonists Inclicio statistic. This is on purpose. Sometimes, you will also see menus change in weird ways including additional information on the character you’re talking to. When this happens it means you’ve successfully made an insight roll. Don’t Panic.

Training Slaves:
You will have to take your slaves to the bedroom and attempt training in order to unlock them working in the bordello. If you fail, you can punish the slave. Read the hints on how to do this. Keep it in the green. Also, don’t do this too much.

Quests:
Some content is only unlocked after completing quests. We have created a simple, sample tutorial quest so you can see how it works.

Content:
The alpha content ends once you have the bordello running and have trained your first slave (Fasti) to serve patrons. That’s the alpha. We hope you enjoy it. Right now, only massage, bathing, boobjob and hand job unlock in alpha. Other sex acts unlock later.

Changelog for Update 4

The core concept of this game is very similar to NTRPG and NTRPG2 by Japanese developer Hanataka. If you liked his games, you might very well like this one as well. I tried to go the extra mile and add animated pixel art made by a pixel artist as well as simple puzzles to make the game a bit more fun to play.
About NTR
This game is mainly about unavoidable NTR. I know this tends to rub a lot of people the wrong way and I can completely understand, I used to be the same. However, the particularity of the game plays on the fact that the MC acts a bit like Link: no dialogue, onomatopeia and bubble icons. Also, the player has little control over how the game plays (name are already set, for example). I know this sounds counterproductive from a developer perspective, but the lack of personality of the MC as well as the way the story is told allows more freedom for players on how they want to picture themselves into the game: do they want to stay on a MC perspective ? Would they rather picture themselves as an uninvolved third party ? Or as the bad guy ? It’s all up to the player’s imagination. This might very well soften the NTR elements if you don’t picture yourself as the MC who’s being NTR’ed^^
Besides, there will be no MC shaming, he will be pictured as oblivious to NTR the whole game, and there will be a choice between 2 endings, with a non-NTR one.
All in all, players not used to NTR or not liking it might find this games easier to play and enjoy. Anyways, there’s no better way to find out but to play the demo version (it should last you around 2-3 hours of gameplay, depends if you want hints and whether you skip the intro).
