Overview:
Shiromitsugawa City: an academic city with no other particular features.

A large earthquake hits the city, damaging the sacred treasure in the Hakuda Tsukumo Shrine, and causing strange items to appear from a parallel world. These “artifacts” grant strange powers to their owners, with incidents of an owner abusing their powers and turning people into stone.

Having learned of the item that causes this petrification, the “Evil Eye Artifact”, Kakeru Niimi teams up with his classmate, Miyako Kujou, and his sister, Sora Niimi, to investigate and put a stop to the culprit.

  • “Chinese text issues that were reported have been fixed, a missing song title in a specific scene was fixed, and the UI having extra unnecessary jump back to scene was fixed.”(not tested so I can’t confirm if that’s fixed)
  • There’s still an empty CG slot in the Gallery, but after comparing, there are 20 slots in the Japanese version and 21 in the English version, so they probably added an additional slot by mistake.
  • It still says v1.0 in the “help” instead of 1.03. Probably cos that’s the version of the original Japanese VN they worked on.
  • From what I’ve seen the untranslated lines were actually translated, just some minor mistakes like that one

I’m Dvd Projekt black, one of the Devs at Ape Studios.
We are pleased to announce our very fist game, “Dark Woods Society”.
I’d like just to thank you all that are downloading the game right now, it’s a great pleasure to post a game here.
I speak on behalf of the other devs when I say this is more or less a dream coming true, making a game and releasing it to the world.

Just a few notes:

We aren’t native at the art of speaking English, so bare in mind that you may need something to wash your eyes, this product may contain low to medium level of engrish.
Also, we’ve tried to make an android version, however, we failed. For the next update I’m almost sure we’ll have an android version as well.
If you find any bug, has any complaint or just wanna talk, send me a message or something, I’ll try to be very active in this forum. Note that the MAC and LINUX versions are not tested, none of us has a computer with those OS, so they may be bugged or even break, if this happen please say so and I’ll try to figure it out.
I know that a discord channel would be great too, but we are not that ready to manage something like this, but in a near future we’ll also share a discord channel where everyone can interact.
We really hope you like this game, even at this 0.1 version, we aim to keep devolping it into something that anyone can be proud of.
