Hello! As I said on my previous post, I’ve been re-working some stuff on ORS and here’s the result! Having some free time during September helped me see a few things that needed to be improved and tweaked to get a better and more polished product, and I want ORS to be the best it can be…

This means, as always, that there might be some problems moving forward if you use old save-files. I know it’s annoying, but this is a work in progress, after all… You will be able to play chapter 6 with older saves, but is probable at some point you’ll experience some minor bugs, or have problems accessing new scenes, so I’d recommend starting a fresh save at some point. I’ve tried to make starting over worth it, though…

So, what’s new in the enhanced edition?

  • I’ve added a couple things to strengthen the driving narrative of the story, making Ian and Lena’s personal goals a bit more clear. Lena’s situation at the café is also re-worked and better tied to the narrative and gameplay.
  • I’ve added a few new interactions with Axel and Ivy that will open up interesting plot points in the future. Not including them felt like a missed opportunity.
  • I’ve restructured Ian’s training sessions to be more coherent. I dug myself in too deep giving the option to choose between two martial arts, but it’s something I wanted to explore. Now the progression is clearer and makes more sense, and there’s also a new goal related to that path of the game: an upcoming tournament!
  • I’m reworking Robert scenes to make him more likeable. Don’t worry, you’ll still have the jerk you love to hate, if you don’t correspond his advances. But I felt Lena had a lack of appealing options 5 chapters into the game, so I want to make Robert fun to pursue if you as a player are into it.
  • There will also be a new naughty scene you’ll see over the phone… Just make sure you’re in good terms with Jeremy ;)
  • I’ll implement a way to track the current day in game, so you always know where the scene you’re playing is happening in the chronological order.
  • I’ve also made some minor tweaks to some stats and restructured the way I compute the variables in the script, but that shouldn’t concern you.
  • Some other minor tweaks and re-writes I can’t remember now, but most importantly…
  • ANIMATIONS! I’ve been experimenting with the idea and implemented quite a few animations during sex scenes. It’s a feature that has been really requested and I’ve decided to give it a try… They are just simple 2-frame animations, but it’s the best I can do considering my work-load and schedule. I want to hear your opinion on them… Do you like them? Do you feel they add something of value and are they worth the time and effort needed to create them?

We’ve been making VR games for three years now. When we finished our previous project, the question came up. What if we could bring what we love most about fantasy anime to a fully interactive VR experience?

I think the best way for us to explain this game is to tell you how we came up with this idea.
Everybody who works at repulse loves fantasy anime, we are huge fans of shows like Attack
on Titan and Full Metal Alchemist. And we also like to play visual novels especially the ones with erotic and lesbian content.

When we finished our last virtual reality game, we asked ourselves: What if we could combine
the elements we love most about anime and visual novels in a full interactive VR experience.
And that is exactly what Iragon is about.

You play the game as Darick, a poor kid from a small village. Everything for him changes when
he meets Erika, a bisexual girl who gets ambushed by soldiers of the Empire.
To help her, you must learn to use your magic, but on your quest to bring her home
safe you will have to journey into a dangerous frozen world. Along the way, you will
battle enemy soldiers, undead skeletons, and perhaps cross paths with seductive creatures
of the frozen land while you unlock new erotic adventures with the beautiful Erika.

So this is ultimately a game about living out a high fantasy adventure, with a strong emphasis
on putting the player in control. The game is meant to be experienced in VR, but we dedicated
an equal amount of care in delivering a standard version that will work for players who do not
have a VR headset.

Changes in Experimental Hall – The experimental hall got a few improvements made to it, such as better lighting and better art for the ceilings. We added a skylight in the main room that separates the corridors to brighten things up. The corridor ceilings got new chandeliers and a prettier design.

Warrior Girl Black Outfit – If you remember the rogue looking girl in the experimental level, you will notice something different about her. She used to wear a red outfit but we decided black suits her better.

Warrior Girl Previews – Before entering the chambers of each of the warrior girls you will see a quick preview of them. They will show off their looks to spike your interest before having the chance to interact with them. You can find them in the experimental hall.

JPDE is a fan-made visual novel created by Meinos Kaen. It is based in the world of RWBY, a popular web series created by Rooster Teeth. You are David di Kabegis, a strange newcomer to the world of Remnant who arrives through meteoric crash landing. Upon first awakening, with a dreadful case of amnesia, he encounters Penny Polendina, and from there, his adventure kicks off as he attends the notable Beacon Academy to train as a Huntsman with combat skills he is unaware of ever obtaining. Ladies and gentlemen… It’s finally here.

Four years in the making. Four years since I first started creating this little project that has evolved beyond my wildest expectations and brought me places I would never have expected and now, the finish line: the main story for JPDE – Sonata of Fire is complete.

First of all, a small apology. This release is entirely main story focused. There are some small QoL improvements but most of our focus over the last two months has been almost exclusively on the main storyline… Which is not to say that we haven’t also been working on the rest of the stuff, as you can see here. ;3

So, as not to spoil the final act of this story, instead of the usual What’s new? we bring you…

WHAT NOW?

What’s next for JPDE now that the story is finished? October is going to be a transitory month, meaning we’re going to catch up on the two Route Events -Ren’s and the Malachite’s- that need to be inserted, the extra outfits and characters. Also, we’re going to decide on a schedule to add more Dance Dates and Final Events, Lewds, Updated CGs, Lewds, proper credits, Lewds, an updated version of a song with a vocalist… The main story may be complete but JPDE still can be polished up. :)

Other than that, there are the other projects we are working on which you can find out about on our Patreon, Website or Discord. And then, of course, there’s JPDE2 which is already in the works. :) It’s going to be a pretty different beast from JPDE so… Be ready. ;D
