There are many, many worlds.

One, called Mareth, was perhaps the heart of them all. Cracks in the space between worlds, called portals, all seemed to lead there. Many portals led to Mareth, but none left it.

Overview:
JPDE is a fan-made visual novel created by Meinos Kaen. It is based in the world of RWBY, a popular web series created by Rooster Teeth. You are David di Kabegis, a strange newcomer to the world of Remnant who arrives through meteoric crash landing. Upon first awakening, with a dreadful case of amnesia, he encounters Penny Polendina, and from there, his adventure kicks off as he attends the notable Beacon Academy to train as a Huntsman with combat skills he is unaware of ever obtaining. The team is rounded out by their leader, Jacqueline B. Ivory, and Evelyn “Carrots” Damerot.​

Ladies and gentlemen… It’s finally here.

Four years in the making. Four years since I first started creating this little project that has evolved beyond my wildest expectations and brought me places I would never have expected and now, the finish line: the main story for JPDE – Sonata of Fire is complete.

First of all, a small apology. This release is entirely main story focused. There are some small QoL improvements but most of our focus over the last two months has been almost exclusively on the main storyline… Which is not to say that we haven’t also been working on the rest of the stuff, as you can see here. ;3

So, as not to spoil the final act of this story, instead of the usual What’s new? we bring you…

WHAT NOW?

What’s next for JPDE now that the story is finished? October is going to be a transitory month, meaning we’re going to catch up on the two Route Events -Ren’s and the Malachite’s- that need to be inserted, the extra outfits and characters. Also, we’re going to decide on a schedule to add more Dance Dates and Final Events, Lewds, Updated CGs, Lewds, proper credits, Lewds, an updated version of a song with a vocalist… The main story may be complete but JPDE still can be polished up. :)

Other than that, there are the other projects we are working on which you can find out about on our Patreon, Website or Discord. And then, of course, there’s JPDE2 which is already in the works. :) It’s going to be a pretty different beast from JPDE so… Be ready. ;D

With that said, there’s nothing for me to do but remind you, as always, to come to our Community Discord to signal any bugs and get tech assistance and enjoy this final chapter in the story of Sonata of Fire!

New Story Content – More of Gavin’s Path
The new day in Gavin’s path starts with Margaret convincing him to let her come to work with him. It’s not too hard considering Gavin has promised to follow every request she makes. She takes the opportunity to indulge in a few things only possible in her new tiny frame while he continues his research into the tea and how to turn her back. Meanwhile Margaret has to contend with her mousey instincts and desires.

New Outfit – Doll Dress and Gavin Outfits
If you’ve played through Gavin’s path up to this point Margaret has been wearing a placeholder for the doll dress she’s had to wear in her new body. KDhynamo has completed the dress that appears in both days and I think you’ll agree that she’s cute as a button when wearing it. Just don’t tell her that. There’s also a couple of casual lounge looks for Gavin for when he’s at home which you can see in the same path.

New CGs – A New Finished CG and One In Progress from KDhynamo
It’s rare we have a new day of story with a completed CG at the same time, but KD was so excited with this tea bath scene he finished it in one go. We also have an in-progress CG for the conclusion of day two of Gavin’s path, which until now has only had a WIP placeholder. We hope you enjoy both.

Not to be outdone, UBF finished the self-inspection scene from day two while starting on the intimate scene ending day three. We think she did a great job with both and that both CGs have a lot that micro fans will find particularly enjoyable.

New Music – Transformation Theme
Our composer Will has again improved our soundtrack with a song used for transformation scenes and other similar scenarios. As TF fans know, transformations can be uncanny while still being sexy, and we think Will has captured that tone perfectly with with his new track “From Within.” You can find it throughout the game, including the new story content.

There’s also a host of other improvements from the usual copyediting, subtle and not so subtle sprite adjustments and additions, and more background art development. We hope you enjoy all of the hard work our team put in this month and hope you support us for next month’s development!

I suggest you to make a separate save before starting the quest so you will be sure that you won’t miss side content.
