Overview:
The game is set in a world where fantasy races exist, but in separate dimensions. Through the development of Goblin technology, these dimensions were able to be bridged, and the World’s Crossing Academies were created.

We’ve all dreamed of living on another world at some point. In this world, it is possible. Those who are interested in living amongst another species can go through schooling at the World’s Crossing Academy to learn that culture. Schooling begins at the Academy branch on your homeworld. Then you’ll move to the Nexus Academy between worlds. Finally, you’ll attend finishing school on the world you chose. Sounds pretty epic, right?

A Little Something For Everyone
For World’s Crossing, we wanted a very diverse cast of characters. In reality, many different body and personality styles exist, and the inclusion of fantasy races allows us to take that to the extreme. People have different tastes, and we wanted to cover as many of those as we could. Perhaps you’re intrigued by the hulking, muscle-bound Goliath? Or the tiny, mischievous Pixie? Maybe the elusive Fire Genasi catches your attention? Perhaps you fancy a fellow martial artist who could teach you a thing or two about fighting? Or maybe you’re interested in fantasy races that aren’t traditionally considered attractive, such as Goblins?

We wanted a vast array of options and aesthetics, but we also wanted each of these characters to be more than hollow shells that are nice to look at. Each of these characters will have a deep, lovingly crafted story of their own. We’re hoping that each route you choose will have hours worth of content you’ll be thinking about even when you’re not playing the game.

The Element of Danger
No story is complete without a source of conflict. In World’s Crossing Academy, our main character is plagued by a stalker. Cecilia wants you all to herself, and if you’re not careful with how often you interact with the other girls, you could be putting them or yourself in serious danger. Though broken, Cecilia is cunning and intelligent, and is more than capable of putting other girls in the Infirmary. Time in the Infirmary means time you can’t interact with them or complete their quests, so be careful.

Real Consequences

Often, your choices can lead to undesirable things happening. We felt this was a realistic approach to take, and it offered the game some tension. However, we also felt that including mechanics that lead to a Game Over would leave a sour taste in players’ mouths, so we explored and settled on the idea that every event in the game serves to unlock something, or leads to something else. Who knows? Spending time in the Infirmary yourself may allow you to meet a character you otherwise wouldn’t…

v1.4.0.1 – Full Notes
1.4.0.1 adds a whole new Main Story episode. Season 2 Episode 4, the full episode, all in one update. This is a really weird episode, and we get to explore a bit of Aurum’s past and what made him who he is today. Should hopefully help explain why he made so many judgement errors in the first season. There are a lot of things he’s doing wrong, and this episode acknowledges that and the fact that he has lessons to learn if he’s not going to repeat his mistakes.

New Content:

  • Luna! Our shopkeeper, voted for a long time ago, is finally here. She’s the first NPC you can talk to, and you’ll be able to interact with her through three separate events that I’ve written for her in the new dialogue system. There are a ton of passages in each one and I’ll keep adding dialogues with Kaly, Luna and Lily throughout the next week.
  • Dialogue system: THIS THING SUCKED TO BUILD. And not in a good way either. I’ll finally be able to start adding interactions with every NPC you can think of, and now the last of the ‘big’ core systems of the game are done. Took me ages to get this to the way I wanted it to be, and I’m now starting to improve how I can edit and write dialogue files in the Unity inspector.
  • Four new scenes for Luna with a lot of variations and more on the way (some of them are already on the Patreon page). I didn’t want the update to be delayed even longer, so I decided to write the rest of her dialogues for next week.
  • Reworked shop, where you can now sell some of your old gear and more items spawn, organized by rarity. There’s a bit of eye candy too, with Luna’s big boobs :3
  • One new masturbation scene for Quinn, which triggers with very high corruption, and cumming variants for the previous masturbation scenes.
  • A couple new status effects, new items including a leash that can be locked on you, one new spell gained by equipping one of the new items and probably a few things I’ve forgotten about!
  • Since I didn’t write a devlog for the christmas demo, there is a christmas outfit you could get there that won’t drop anymore, an exclusive for those who played it. But I’m thinking about leaving a small chance for them to spawn in Luna’s shop, I want to hear from you on this!
  • Lots of new sounds that will play mixed with the older ones during sex scenes, some during dialogues.

Cosmetic Changes:

  • You can now see trait progression on the top-left corner of the screen, while sex scenes go on. The descriptions for each trait will also show up there, just in case some of you love reading the lewd bits of text there, like i do :3
  • I’ve added visual support for dice rolls, I’ll add visuals for the mimic/chest proximity checks as soon as I can. That way you won’t need to read the small text popup on the top-right corner.
  • You can now see how much equipping a new item will affect your current stats. I could find a few minor innacuracies (some values off by 1) and I’ll figure it out pretty soon. Only one that I know of, currently, it’s the ropes, other than that I fixed all I could find.
  • Added color highlighting for text in some parts of the game. Still needs some work but is mostly working.

Bug Fixes:

  • Added code for un-stucking players and enemies from fences.
  • Fixed some audio files not being affected by volume settings.
